Psaki The eldest daughter of three born in Stamford Connecticut, in 1978 to Eileen Dolan (nee Medvey) and Dimitrios R. Psaki. Dimitrios R. Psaki is a retired real estate developer whose father emigrated in 1904 to Greece and whose maternal grandmother was Irish. In 1976, her parents were married. Psaki is also of Polish ancestry.Psaki has graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996. In 2000, she received an honors degree from the College of William & Mary. She is an active Chi Omega sorority member. Psaki was backstroke swimmer on the William & Mary Tribe's athletic team for two years in succession. Psaki started her career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki became John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was the communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. representative, and the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC has announced that Psaki will serve as an analyst in the 2022 United States election and the 2024 presidential campaign. In 2023 she will host a program on MSNBC’s Peacock streaming service.
