Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965, is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the series concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012).
